South American Walking Tour

In 2006 I joined a small group of bushwalkers on a tour of Peru and Bolivia. The main objective of the trip was to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, but our itinerary also included a visit to Easter Island; a drive down the coast of Peru with a flight over the Nazca lines; travel to Puno and the floating villages of Lake Titicaca; and a 4WD trip across Salar de Uyuni and the Atacama Desert in Bolivia. I had just bought my first digital camera, a small point-and-shoot model, and was learning to do basic image processing. The quality of my photographs was therefore not up to my current standards, but I have included this collection of highlights on my website because they feature many interesting places which are still on roads less travelled.
