Life in Luang Prabang
Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage city in northern Laos. I spent five weeks there in 2017/18 as a volunteer English teacher and found it a most rewarding experience. Still photographs can be seen in my Laos album. This AV describes different aspects of everyday life in that unique place. It is a snapshot in time, of a culture which is vulnerable to over-tourism and at the mercy of major Chinese developments in the region, particularly hydro-electric projects on the Mekong river, and new road and rail networks.
